entering the apartment, residents and visitors are greeted by a large open living room with north-facing windows.  Looking out upon west 104th and broadway, reflected light bathes the space from dawn to dusk.  The living room can accommodate myriad layouts and there is a floor-to-ceiling closet in the corner.  Decorative fireplace and arched kitchen entryway add a touch of old-world charm to an already perfect room.

built in 1925, the leola is a pet friendly elevator building with below-market maintenance.  The front door provides keyless entry and the lobby was renovated last year.  Gift purchases, co-purchasing, guarantors and pied-a-terres are allowed.  Subletting permissible after one year.  Washer/dryer can be installed in the apartment (with board approval) and there is a laundromat across broadway.  There is storage available as well as a bikeroom and lending library in the basement.  The shared patio off the back of the building is perfect for summer barbecues or enjoying a relaxing evening after work.  Pets are welcome on approval and washer/dryer installation is allowed in the apartments.  

anchored on a quiet block, the leola is a part of the long standing 104th street association which hosts an annual neighborhood block party and provides private block security.  Riverside park is two blocks to the west with central park four blocks to the east.  Columbia university is ten blocks north.  The 1 train is around the corner and the express 2/3 trains are a few blocks south.  

manhattan valley is home to tons of restaurants, shops, and activities including mama's too, cafe du soleil and the smoke jazz & supper club.  Trader joe's, whole foods, health nuts market and westside market are all a few blocks away.  Equinox, ny sports club and soul cycle are close by.
